What is it
The AI Ethics Applied Programme and Consultation is a capacity building programme targeted for the Rwandan AI ecosystem. Through the programme, the 15 participating organizations from across the AI ecosystem have a first-hand opportunity to participate in a consultative process to develop and test the application of upcoming RURA’s ethical AI guidelines in their AI services.
The programme will take place from October 2022 to January 2023. The programme consists of
- 1.5 days of AI Ethics training on October 18-19 at the Kigali Digital Transformation Centre;
- Guided ethical AI guidelines application process, including coaching and peer learning sessions (virtual);
- Feedback and review of the guidelines.
All selected 15 participants are expected to have an AI use case they're developing or planning to implement, which they can use as their pilot case in the process. Furthermore, participants will be selected from across industries ensuring diverse representation of industries and organizations.
